Meet Jamel Roxanne

Jamel is a 36-year-old single mother blessed with three children. She is living in Camiling, Tarlac in the Philipines. She owns and manages a variety store selling the basic needs of a family, and has been doing this work for seven months.

Jamel was funded with a loan of $200.00 US from Kiva.org . She used her loan proceeds in purchasing grocery items such as canned goods, snacks, condiments, soft drinks, mineral water, etc.

Jamel's dreams are to expand and grow her business to financially support her and her children in their needs.

As a business woman and a single mother in a tough economy, I have a great affinity for other women in a similar position.
